Blind Tasting of 4 Sparkling Wines

Guided tour + Blind tasting of 4 sparkling wines that will awaken all of your senses!

Visit Montesquius wine cellar in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, one of the oldest wineries in the county, and do a blind tasting of 3 Montesquius reserve sparkling wines and one grand reserve sparkling wine.

During the guided tour we will go through the winery and explain the making of sparkling wine: from the grape harvest, where we get the base wine, to the making of a young, reserve, or Grand Reserve sparkling wine, which takes place in our underground cellars, a magical, historical place that was dug out by hand nearly 100 years ago!

Once the guided tour is done, we will move on to our tasting room: we will test your sense of taste and smell with a blindfolded tasting, in which you will learn to identify sparkling wine by its flavour and aroma.

The tasting will start by identifying a reserve white sparkling wine and a reserve rosé sparkling wine, while you enjoy an appetizer of Iberian ham or our vegetarian appetizer,¹ and then we will go on to the second blind tasting: try to identify which of the two is a reserve sparkling wine and which is grand reserve (aged for more than 6 years in our wine cellars!)

The blind tasting of 4 sparkling wines is totally sensorial. Whether you are a wine and sparkling wine expert or not, this blind tasting will help you to experience new sensations, tastes, aromas, and textures that will surprise you.
